Stephanie M Miller
Dr Steph Miller is an early career researcher with over 17 years’ experience with the newborn piglet model of perinatal asphyxia. She has extensive knowledge of the large animal experiments, physiological monitoring and high quality laboratory outputs (19 publications using the pig model). Dr Miller has skills that extend across EEG and MRI analysis, and neuropathology analysis including various immunohistochemical techniques. She was the first to describe the association of neonatal seizures to alterations in the developmentally regulated α-subunits of GABAA receptor (PMID: 27456541), and the first to describe a novel splice variant of one of the developmentally dominant subunits (PMID: 29282556).
