Michael Stark
A/Prof Michael Stark is a Senior Staff Specialist in Neonatal Medicine at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Adelaide and co-leads the Early Origins of Health Research Theme in The Robinson Research Institute, School of Medicine, University of Adelaide. He undertook has paediatric and perinatal training in the UK and Australia completing his PhD on placental steroid metabolism and its impact on early neonatal cardiovascular transition in 2008. Since 2010 he has lead the multi-disciplinary neonatal research group within the RRI which focuses in fetal physiological adaptations to pathological pregnancy and their consequence for early neonatal health and the impact of common interventions during the neonatal period on later health.
